Empowering Women Leaders: Toward Greater Political Representation

Women in Albania have been key to their communities but remain underrepresented in political leadership, holding only 50 of 140 seats in Parliament and leading just 8 of 61 municipalities. To address this, UN Women, with support from the Swedish Government, organized training sessions for over 130 women and girls across Albania to build leadership skills and empower them to engage in politics.
