UN Women Albania supported women affected by the 2019 earthquake in Albania to have access to and benefit from economic opportunities. The women have been supported to strengthen their entrepreneurial competencies and business skills through the Women’s Small Business Program, a combined capacity-building approach that included training, mentoring, and individual and group coaching.

My body is my own! Young people in Albania give strong messages through their artwork

As part of UN Women Albania's "My body is my own" art initiative, 20 passionate young photographers and illustrators came together from September to December 2021.
First, they participated in workshops to raise their awareness and understanding about bodily autonomy, gender equality, gender-based violence and discrimination.
