Rural Women in Albania
In Albania, 41.6% of women work in agriculture. They work the land which they rarely own and often have informal jobs. But their work doesn’t end here: they also have to do unpaid housework.
UN Women Albania visited women and girls living and working in rural areas on the International Day of Rural Women as part of the Gender Rural Equality and Tourism (GREAT) programme, contributing to the sustainable economic development of rural women and their communities.
In partnership with FAO, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and AICS Tirana, with the financial support of the Italian Government.
