Ending Violence Against Women and Girls in the Western Balkans and Turkey “Implementing Norms, Changing Minds”

UN Women Office in Albania is part of the regional programme “Implementing Norms, Changing Minds”, now in the second phase (2020-2023). It aims at reducing gender-based discrimination and violence against women and girls, with a particular focus on the most disadvantaged groups of women. The programme will create an enabling legislative and policy environment in line with international standards on eliminating violence against women and all forms of discrimination. Beyond promoting favorable social norms and preventing discrimination and violence against women, the programme will empower survivors to advocate for and use available services. To achieve this, the regional programme is supporting six women’s civil society organizations (CSOs) in Albania to undertake interventions towards achieving these results.
