Call for expression of Interest: Training of Trainers on building capacities of women political candidates
Event description
UN Women Albania, invites Albanian nationals, that are trainers or experts working in human rights and gender equality, and specifically on women’s political empowerment and leadership to express their interest and availability to participate in a 5 days Training of Trainers (ToT) organized on 2-6 September 2024. They should commit to deliver trainings organized by UN Women Albania on women’s political participation in the future starting from January 2025. The ToT aims to create a network of qualified trainers on political leadership and candidate training in Albania, and help expand the pool of qualified women willing to run a campaign, win and serve in elective office in Albania. Therefore, UN Women is launching a selection procedure targeting trainers and experts on human rights and gender equality, elections and women’s political participation working in Albania. Up to 20 participants will be selected who will receive certification upon completion of the 5-day course. Full attendance required (40 qualifying hours) for further Certification by UN Women.
The course is interactive and will span five days (half days during the first and last day). The training programme strives to provide three equally important foundations for potential leaders: knowledge, skills and confidence, making use of a comprehensive training curriculum designed to support UN Women’s broader programmes on women’s political empowerment and leadership, specifically by helping expand the pool of qualified women willing to run a campaign, win and serve in elective office.
