Safety measures for preventing COVID-19

Access to information and services is one of the many priorities raised by women and girls during meetings in the municipalities of Tirana, Durres, Lezha, Elbasan, Debar and Lushnja. These meetings are organized by "Today for the Future" network with the support of UN Women to encourage women and girls participation in the participatory budgeting process. In response to their demands amidst the Covid-19 pandemic emergency, the Network provided direct services, assistance on the ground and information access to communities in these areas. They prepared information materials on protection measures and recommendations about family and work relations in the context of COVID-19 pandemic in addition to guidance on local services. Participatory budgeting at local level is part of the UN Joint Programme to “Leave no One Behind”.
