Budget choices in a time of pandemic: advancing gender equality or holding it back?

This report aims to identify how the financial rebalancing during COVID-19 affected the advancement of gender equality in the country as per the legal acts issued by the central government in response to the unprecedented health, social and economic crisis caused by the pandemic. Moreover, the enduring situation and the social and economic effects of the pandemic resulted in a lack of data, and this combined with the restriction measures that were still in place prevented the relevant institutions from working at full capacity. Therefore, this report offers some main suggestions and recommendations on how to overcome these challenges and look toward the future.
